It is characterized by a small dirt mound resembling an island situated in the moat outside the ancient city walls. The moat surrounds the island, although it is shallow. Based on the features of the moat and the walls, it is presumed that Sirimalai Island was originally a fort or watchtower of some sort, as it is located outside the city and in the middle of the moat. To reach this location, take Highway No. 115, which connects Phichit to Samngam and Wang Chig, and then proceed on Highway No. 1068 at kilometer marker 6.
