Located in the same area as the Vocational Training Center of Wat Chang Hai, along Highway 409 (Pattani-Yala), in the border region of Pradu and Thung Phla sub-districts, this site spans 25 rai (40,000 square meters). The landscape is characterized by gently sloping terrain from the south to the north, initially covered by community forest. This area was developed into a botanical garden in 1995, with approval from local residents and agencies, and was named "Phuksa Mahachakri Botanical Garden" in honor of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, on the occasion of her 62nd birthday on August 12, 1994. Today, this botanical garden has become a serene retreat, a source of study for natural sciences, and a haven for various species of flora, particularly for rare local plants found in the southern border provinces. Additionally, it features auspicious trees from every province, inviting visitors to admire and learn about them.
