The San Phra Kan, formerly known as San Sung, is an ancient site and a place of worship located at the center of the Sri Sunthorn roundabout on Narai Maharat Road in the Chub Chub Sea district of Mueang Lopburi, Lopburi Province. It is positioned to the east of Phra Prang Sam Yot and the northern railway line. The temple houses the revered deity, Phra Kan, an ancient Khmer statue from the era when the Khmer Empire flourished. This historic site was built using laterite stones arranged in layers to form a high base. Atop it, there exists a sandstone lintel intricately carved with the image of Narayana reclining on the serpent, dating back to around the 16th century of the Buddhist calendar. This lintel is positioned against the wall of a small upper chapel. Here, an octagonal stone inscription in ancient Mon script has also been discovered. In front of the temple is a hall constructed in 1951, built on the original foundations established during the reign of King Narai the Great. Inside this hall is a standing statue of Narayana, made of stone, comprised of two figures that exemplify Lopburi-style sculpture. However, the original head of the statue was lost. Subsequently, an Ayutthaya period sandstone Buddha head was added, and it has since become a site of respect and worship for many visitors.
