This sacred site holds great significance in Buddhism and serves as a spiritual anchor for the Thai people. It houses the remains of a revered monk, Phra Khun Kwan Pawaro, allowing visitors to pay their respects. This temple is home to a sacred Buddha statue known as Phra Khun Kwan, or Phra Khru Pimol Thammanusit. He was originally named Kwan Mok Mueak and was born on September 18, 1908, in the Rai village, Sam Ngam sub-district, Sam Ngam district, Phichit province. He was ordained as a monk in 1927 during the fourth month on the 8th waning moon at Wat Banna in the same district. He was not only a monk but also a developer and builder who contributed significantly to society, donating his resources for the construction of religious sites, educational institutions, hospitals, and various government agencies.
