The two-story brick and cement building, which presents itself as a Western-style edifice, was constructed in 1898 and completed in 1916 by Phuminat Phakdi, also known as Tuan Ku Baharuddin Bintamohong (Gudeng Bin Ku Mae), the ruler of Satun.
