The National Museum of Satun, known as Gudeng Mansion, was originally built as a residence for King Chulalongkorn (Rama V). This beautiful structure showcases colonial European architecture. Today, it serves as a museum that preserves the rich and varied history of Satun province. Here, visitors can explore the art, culture, traditions, and way of life of the area. Thus, when tourists begin their journey to Satun, a visit to this museum should definitely be on their agenda. The two-story brick and cement building, which presents itself as a Western-style edifice, was constructed in 1898 and completed in 1916 by Phuminat Phakdi, also known as Tuan Ku Baharuddin Bintamohong (Gudeng Bin Ku Mae), the ruler of Satun. Admission fees are 30 THB for adults and 10 THB for children.
