The Jatawi Folk Museum was established out of the determination and passion of Sergeant Major Dr. Tawee Buranakhet, a renowned Buddha statue maker from Phitsanulok. He has a deep fascination for collecting antiques, including traditional tools, old currency and banknotes, everyday household items, and a plethora of photographs that capture the lives of people in the lower northern region of Thailand. This area includes the provinces of Nakhon Sawan, Phichit, Phitsanulok, Kamphaeng Phet, Phetchabun, Tak, Sukhothai, and Uttaradit.
