If you want to experience Nakhon Sawan in all its glory and enjoy a panoramic view, a visit to the Nakhon Sawan Observation Tower at the top of Kiriwong Temple is a must. Here, you can immerse yourself in the breathtaking scenery of Nakhon Sawan, which is truly unforgettable. The tower stands 32 meters tall and was opened to the public in October 2008. Upon entering, you’ll find a total of 10 floors filled with various activities for visitors. The first floor serves as an information hub for tourism, detailing the history of the province and featuring a One Tambon One Product (OTOP) shop. The second and third floors are divided into sections that include restaurants, cafes, and dessert shops alongside an Internet Café. Floors four through nine lead visitors up a spiral staircase to the tenth floor, an observation deck that offers a stunning 360-degree view of Nakhon Sawan City and the surrounding districts. You can enjoy a vista that stretches over 10 kilometers, with the eastern view showcasing the beautiful Khao Kob and Bung Boraphet, the southern view revealing Suwan Park, the Chao Phraya River, and the Decha Wong Bridge, along with Wat Khao Chom Kiri Nakphra. Meanwhile, the western view offers a picturesque backdrop of the mountains. Comfortable seating is provided for relaxation, complete with telescopes for stargazing. Additionally, the local municipality organizes evening activities, including a telescope set up for those interested in astronomy. After soaking in the views, you can also visit Kiriwong Temple to pay respects to the revered Chulamani Pagoda, another sacred site that is just a short distance from the observation tower.
