Wat Yot Kaew Sriwichai is located on Samran Chai Khong Road and was constructed in the year 1826, making it over 200 years old. It was built by Phra Ya Chan Suriyavong, the second governor of Mukdahan, and his wife. Locally, it is known as Wat Klang, meaning "the temple in the center," due to its central location in the city. In 1846, Phra Chan Suriyavong's son renovated the temple, renaming it Wat Yot Kaew Sriwichai. Within Wat Yot Kaew Sriwichai, there is a replica of Phra That Phanom and a large Buddha statue in the posture of granting favor to beings. In front of the main hall, there are two beautiful stupas, each adorned with intricate designs, inviting visitors to pay their respects. Wat Yot Kaew Sriwichai is situated along the Mekong River on Samran Chai Khong South Road, near the Indo-China Market.
