Vihara Pa Wivek Wattanaram, or Wat Luang Pu Cham, is located in Ban Huai Sai, Kham Cha-i District, along Highway 2042 (Mukdahan-Kalasin). Luang Pu Cham Mahapunyo was one of the revered teachers known for his strict adherence to the Buddhist monastic code and his steadfast commitment to the practice of Vipassana meditation. He lived a life devoted to the path of Dharma and passed away on January 19, 2013, at the age of 104. Within the temple, there is a dedicated exhibition showcasing his biography and teachings, all set amidst a tranquil and lush environment. One of the temple's most distinctive features is the Golden Chetiya (stupa), which is characterized by five peaks. It stands on a wide base measuring 13 meters by 13 meters, rising 45 meters from the ground to its pinnacle. This structure, built in 1987, is an example of applied arts and serves as a repository for the sacred relics of the Buddha and several revered Arahants, including Phra Sivali, Phra Upakut, and Phra Angulimala. Each year, on Magha Puja Day and Visakha Puja Day, grand ceremonies are held for the ceremonial bathing of the relics. To reach the temple, start from Kham Cha-i District using Highway 12 (Kham Cha-i - Somdet). Proceed past Wat Luang Pu Cham School, which is situated on the left side of the road, for about 1 kilometer. You will find the entrance to Vihara Pa Wivek Wattanaram on the right side of the road, approximately 7 kilometers from the center of Kham Cha-i District.
