Located in the Phumriang Subdistrict, this community is a harmonious blend of two cultures, Buddhist and Muslim, coexisting peacefully. One of the main livelihoods of the residents is traditional fishing, which has led to the establishment of a crab bank and fish farming in floating cages. Additionally, Koh Seret is about a 30-minute boat ride from Laem Pho and serves as a crucial nursery for marine life that benefits the community. Visitors can rent boats from the locals to explore the island. During low tide, there are activities available where you can learn how to gather clams, which can be used in cooking. This community is renowned for its unique local product, Phumriang silk, characterized by its use of silver and gold threads. The distinctive patterns of Phumriang include the Rajawatra, Lotuskum flower, the Pikul flower, Nopakao, and Yoke Bed patterns. Tourists can observe the traditional silk weaving process and purchase Phumriang silk from local artisan groups and vendors in the Phumriang market.
