Pumriang Village is renowned for its exquisite silk weaving, known for its beautiful patterns and high quality. It is a well-known local product of Surat Thani province, and this community is where the tradition of Pumriang silk weaving originated. The majority of the Muslim residents here have been engaged in silk weaving, passing their skills down through generations. Pumriang silk is notable for its intricate patterns woven with silver and gold threads, featuring unique designs such as Rajawat, flower lanterns, plum blossom, Nopako, and Yoke Bed. Moreover, if you drive along the Pumriang to coastline road for two kilometers beyond the village, you will reach Laem Pho, a beach destination that is popular in the Pumriang sub-district, known for its white shellfish, found exclusively at Laem Pho. Location: Pumriang is situated in the Pumriang sub-district, Chaiya district, approximately 7 kilometers from the district center. Getting there: To reach Pumriang from Surat Thani city, you can take a bus from Surat Thani to Ranong or from Surat Thani to Chumphon. From Chaiya town, local bus services are available to Pumriang.
