The beautiful wooden house of the Sriyaphai family once belonged to Phaya Wajisattayarak (Khun Sriyaphai), a former governor of Chaiya. It has been passed down through generations to the grandchildren. This house used to serve as a traditional medicine shop, where people would bring wild goods and tie elephants at this very spot, exchanging items for food and herbal medicines. You can still see the traces of the past right in front of the shop. Upstairs, there are various rooms furnished with household items and family photographs hanging on the walls. When you look out through the wooden windows, you can see the historic wooden row houses that were the birthplace of Phra Buddhadasa.
