Bulo Island, or the Bulo Archipelago, is located approximately 22 kilometers from Pak Bara Pier in La-Ngu District, Satun Province. It falls under the jurisdiction of Tarutao National Park and consists of eight islands: Koh Bulo Le, Koh Bulo Don, Koh Bulo Mai Pha, Koh Tongku, Koh Lama, Koh Ayam, Koh Rang Nok, and Koh Luk Hin. The name "Bulo" is derived from the Malay word "Bulo," which means "bamboo," reflecting the island's lush growth of bamboo. The island offers numerous budget-friendly bungalow accommodations. It is home to a community of Urak Lawoi people and is surrounded by stunning sandy beaches and bays, reputed to be the most beautiful in this archipelago. Notable spots include Pan San Beach, known for its length and beauty, as well as Moong Bay and Pang Kan Noi Bay, where visitors can enjoy peaceful and relaxing snorkeling experiences without the crowds.
