Ao Phang Nga National Park is a well-known tourist destination located in southern Thailand, along the Andaman Sea coast, attracting both Thai and international travelers for many years. The park encompasses the districts of Takua Thung, Ko Yao, and Mueang Phang Nga. In terms of natural beauty, this region boasts stunning beaches and islands, several of which are famous among tourists from around the world. Additionally, Ao Phang Nga National Park holds historical significance as evidence suggests that human settlements existed in this area since prehistoric times. Discoveries such as rock paintings, stone tools, pottery shards, and stone axes illustrate this rich history. One of the park's highlights is Koh Panyee, an island where a fishing community resides. Here, visitors can find restaurants, souvenir shops, and a floating football field, which is acclaimed as one of the most beautiful football fields in the world. Another captivating site is the Tham Sua (Cave of Paintings), featuring ancient rock art depicting various scenes of people, fish, crabs, and birds. Koh Tapu, famously known as James Bond Island, is renowned for its unique shape and gained worldwide fame as a filming location for a James Bond movie. Koh Lawa Yai, a small island, invites visitors to walk around its perimeter, where they can enjoy pristine sandy beaches and clear waters dotted with shallow coral reefs. Koh Hong is a limestone mountain accessible by canoe through a cave, leading to a serene lagoon surrounded by towering limestone cliffs, akin to being in a grand hall. Koh Phang, another stunning island, features beautiful caves reminiscent of Koh Hong, along with cascading waterfalls within. Visitors can explore an array of wildlife and plant species thriving in the caves and mangrove forests. The park provides accommodation and camping facilities at prices ranging from 800 to 1,000 baht.
