The Cultural Center of Loei Province has evolved from the cultural assistance unit of the Ministry of Education, which was responsible for operations since 1979. Loei Teacher College was honored to be chosen as the location for the Loei Cultural Center, officially opening its cultural hall on December 22, 1987. Subsequently, the province of Loei received budget approval to establish a local museum from the Tourism Authority of Thailand, leading to the completion of the local museum building in 1992. The Office of Arts and Culture at Loei Rajabhat University has since taken on the responsibility of hosting permanent exhibitions related to Loei Province. The university has been officially open to the public since 1998 and continues to operate to this day. The emblem of the Loei Local Museum features symbols from the paintings found in the Phu Pha Man Cave and the Sri Song Rak Stupa, artistically crafted to resemble a figure or warrior, signifying that people are the creators of culture. The design and concept were developed by Assist. Prof. Danuphol Chaisinthum and Assist. Prof. Muni Phanthawi, while the actual design was executed by Lecturer Phongsathorn Phinijwat.
