Located in Moo 13, Mae Prik Subdistrict, on the Chiang Rai-Chiang Mai Road at kilometer 129, stands the monument dedicated to King Naresuan the Great. This site serves as a center for the dissemination of knowledge regarding the history of King Naresuan, based on the assumption that in the past, he led an army of elephants and horses to attack the town of Hang, passing through Wiang Pa Pao and resting in the area of Mae Suai. Every year on January 18th, a ceremonial worship is held, along with offerings to honor the immense benevolence of King Naresuan. Within the area, there is also a learning center dedicated to the history of King Naresuan, featuring a display of past and present images through an interactive touchscreen computer system. The center is open for visits from Tuesday to Sunday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. For more information, please contact: 0 5378 6477 or 08 5710 6518.
