The history of Wat Khong Chiam, or Wat Ban Dan Khao, as recorded, is a monastery of the Maha Nikaya tradition. The temple is situated on an area spanning 21 rai, with its northern border adjacent to the Mekong River, the southern boundary bordering Huai Hom, the eastern side facing the banks of the Mekong and Mun Rivers, and the western limit adjacent to Khong Chiam Wittayakhom School.
