Cheung Tha Temple, or the Cheung Tha Ancient Site, is a historical landmark situated along the Chao Phraya River near Ko Kret. It's easily accessible via the route that leads to the Royal Irrigation Department all the way to the end, where you'll find parking for about 5 to 8 cars. There’s also a small garden area with seating under the shade of large trees, perfect for a relaxing break. The temple faces the river, and beside it stands a statue of the Tiger God, attracting many visitors who come to pay their respects and offer tiger figurines. Inside the temple, you'll find beautiful wall paintings and the revered Phra Phuttha To (the Great Buddha Statue) prominently on display, which is believed to have been inspired by Khmer architecture. This location serves as an intriguing site for studying the history along the riverside. It offers a serene and clean environment, with security personnel ensuring the area remains safe. Whether you're visiting to pray or just to enjoy a leisurely stroll by the riverside at dusk, this place is definitely worth a visit.
