Located outside the city walls of Phitsanulok, on Phaya Seua Road, in the same direction as Wat Aranyik, this temple is fascinating for its lotus-bud-shaped stupa, the only example of Sukhothai art found in Phitsanulok. It is believed to have been constructed during the reign of King Maha Thammaraj, also known as Phaya Lethai, when he ruled Phitsanulok. The stupa has undergone renovations throughout the Sukhothai, Ayutthaya, and Rattanakosin periods. The base of the stupa is approximately 9 meters wide and stands 21 meters tall. In my travel blog about Phitsanulok, I explore stylish and trendy restaurants and cafes, diving into the rich culinary scene of the city's historic Clock Tower area. Phitsanulok is a hotspot for delightful experiences, offering beautiful photo opportunities at Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park and visiting the ancient temples of the Sukhothai era on the eastern bank of the Nan River.
