Wat Hong Pradittharam was originally located at the Senanarong Camp. However, when the camp relocated from the area of Suan Tul in Songkhla, the temple was also moved to its current location. Local residents generously donated a portion of land for the construction of the temple. Later, the abbot at that time purchased additional land for expansion, and the community began referring to it as Wat Koh Hong, named after the village it served.
