Wat Phra That Su Thon Mongkhon Kiri, commonly referred to as "Wat Phra That Su Thon," boasts stunning and grand architecture. Conveniently located along the main route between Phrae and Lampang, it offers easy access for visitors. Upon entering, one is greeted by a magnificent reclining Buddha statue and an exquisitely beautiful stupa, making this temple a renowned site in Den Chai district. Wat Phra That Su Thon Mongkhon Kiri is celebrated for its collection of the most beautiful applied Lanna art. The murals on the colonnade depict stories from local folklore and the life of the Buddha. Within the temple grounds, there are over 30 Lanna-style stupas. At the base of the eastern stairway stands a large statue of a lion. Additionally, there is a Lanna-style teakwood museum that showcases the history of the Lanna Kingdom and Phrae, featuring artifacts, ancient warrior weapons, and photographs of northern royals along with various events in Lanna history.
