Located in Ban Phong Sunan on Kam Lue Road, in the Nai Wiang subdistrict, this temple was originally named Wat Pong Sanuk and is currently an abandoned site. Records indicate that in 1929, the walls of the vihara collapsed due to flooding. Phong Phiboon (Chao Phromwong Phra Thang) and Chao Sunanta Wongburi spearheaded the effort to rebuild the vihara and changed its name to "Wat Phong Sunan." Inside the ubosot stands the statue of Phra Chao Saen Suk, the principal Buddha image in the meditation posture, believed to be 568 years old. Along the temple wall, you can find a golden reclining Buddha statue, nearby which is the 19-topped arched gate of good fortune and a glass vihara housing a stupa with 108 spires, all surrounded by 108 crystal balls. Looking through the crystal balls provides a unique and captivating upside-down view of the glass vihara and the stupa, creating a sight that is truly mesmerizing. Within the glass vihara rests a large wooden Buddha statue of Surasawadee, surrounded by intricate mural paintings. The stupa houses numerous relics, including many small pieces of Lord Buddha's relics. Every February, the temple holds the traditional ceremony of bathing the Buddha relics and paying homage to the sacred stupa of Wat Phong Sunan, a practice filled with cultural significance.
