This is a tranquil cave temple that offers a peaceful atmosphere. At the entrance, there is a beautifully crafted Buddha statue and a designated area for worshippers (ubasok and ubasika) to come and pay their respects according to their faith. Inside the Khao Taphab Cave Temple, there is a tunnel behind the cave with stones resembling turtles, which likely inspired the name of this cave. Additionally, prehistoric stone tools have been discovered here, adding to its historical significance. At the back of the temple, there are several caves that serve as homes to a large number of bats, such as the Thong Pra Rong Cave, Kaew Cave, Prasad Cave, and Ruea Cave, among others. Each cave is equipped with lighting to facilitate visitor exploration. Location: Wang Hin Subdistrict, Tap Than District, approximately 56 kilometers from the provincial center. Getting there: Travel along Highway No. 333, Uthai Thani - Ban Rai route, and take a left onto Highway No. 3213. Continue for about 1 kilometer, and the temple will be on your right. For a more in-depth understanding of Uthai Thani's past, consider visiting the Uthai Thani Historical and Cultural Museum. Don't miss out on experiencing the cool weather and flower gardens in Ban Kaen Makrud, as well as exploring the culinary delights Uthai has to offer.
