Located on Yarung Road (Yarung-Patani Route) in the A-nah Roo sub-district, within the Pattani Municipality, this mosque was established in 1954 and took nine years to complete. It was officially inaugurated by Field Marshal Sarit Thanarat on May 25, 1963, with the purpose of serving as a center for Islamic worship for the Thai Muslim community in the southern region. The entrance features a long walkway leading up to the mosque building, flanked by palm trees that enhance the lush surroundings. In front of the mosque, there is a large fountain pool that beautifully complements the exterior landscape. The mosque's structure is reminiscent of India's Taj Mahal, boasting a large central dome surrounded by smaller domes on all four sides. Adjacent to the main building are minarets on either side, which serve as towers to call the faithful to prayer. Inside, the mosque features a spacious hall with balconies on both sides. In the hall, there is a tall and narrow minbar (a podium for delivering sermons) that rises to a platform from which the imam leads prayers. This mosque is renowned as one of the most beautiful mosques in Thailand. Visitors are advised to dress modestly and respectfully when touring the mosque.
