Makha Bucha Anusorn Buddhist Park

Moo 3, Sarika Subdistrict, Nakhon Nayok City, Nakhon Nayok Province.

The Buddhist Park of Magha Puja Memorial features the largest Buddha statue, serving as a representation of the Buddha himself. This site is adorned with magnificent sand sculptures and reflects the Buddhist disciples and significant events from the time of the Buddha. It commemorates Magha Puja Day, which signifies the Grand Assembly of the Four Components: 1. A gathering of 1,250 monks, all disciples of the Buddha, convened without prior arrangement. 2. All these disciples were "ehhi bhikkhu upasampada," meaning they were ordained by the Buddha himself. 3. Every monk present was an Arahant, an enlightened being. 4. This significant day falls on the full moon of the month of Magha, when the moon is in the Magha constellation.
