In the auspicious year of Buddhist Era 2549, which marked the 60th anniversary of His Majesty the King's reign, and in 2550, the year of His Majesty's 80th birthday, the Cabinet initiated policies aimed at enhancing the development of people and fostering quality social frameworks. This included promoting the role of the Buddhist monkhood by establishing places for meditation and tranquility, akin to the Buddha Mondol situated in Salaya, Phutthamonthon District, Nakhon Pathom Province, to be replicated across the kingdom. The government proposed the establishment of a "Buddhist Mondol" in every province, supported by the Sangha, represented by the Supreme Sangha Council, to honor His Majesty by creating provincial Buddhist Mondol sites. Nakhon Sawan Province was selected as one of the nine provinces by the committee. Therefore, the establishment of the provincial Buddhist Mondol in Nakhon Sawan was initiated.
