Village 5, Ton Pho Subdistrict, Mueang Sing Buri District.

Wat Sawang Arom, commonly known among locals as Wat Bang Mon, is situated on the left bank of the Chao Phraya River in Singburi District. It was established around 1856 by Phra Khru Singmuni, who was the first abbot and the first ecclesiastical leader of the Singburi province. The current abbot is Phra Khru Atthasithisophon. Phra Khru Singmuni, affectionately referred to by the locals as Luang Por Ruang, collected a number of large shadow puppets crafted by artisans during the late Ayutthaya period and allowed local craftsmen, skilled in their trade, to create additional puppets.
