Phra That Nakhon, Wat Mahathat

Phra That Nakhon, the sacred relic of those born on Saturday, is enshrined at Wat Maha That, located on Sunthornvijit Road in Muang District, along the banks of the Mekong River. Within this sacred structure are enshrined the relics of an Arahant along with a golden Buddha statue and various valuable offerings made by devout individuals. Those who come to pay their respects at this sacred site are said to receive blessings, enhance their merit, and gain influential power in their lives. Offerings to the stupa typically include rice grains, scented water, grilled sticky rice, 10 sticks of incense, and 2 candles.
