“Ban Na Bua” in Re Nuan Khon district is an OTOP village promoting tourism, showcasing the unique identity of the Phu Thai ethnic group, who live in a way distinct from others. Notably, this village is also the site of a significant historical event known as “the day the guns fired,” which took place on August 7, 1965. Today, the community of Ban Na Bua enjoys a peaceful existence while maintaining the identity of the Phu Thai people. They live in harmony with nature and uphold their simple lifestyle, preserving beautiful traditions that have become a prominent characteristic of the area. This is evident in the architecture of their homes, the continued use of the Phu Thai language, their traditional attire, and the graceful Phu Thai dance, as well as the sacred ceremony of tying the wrist with Bai Sri. Additionally, there is the Na Bua Learning Center, showcasing a collection of artifacts such as buffalo leather sandals and tools that historically represented the livelihoods of the local people.
