อุทยานแห่งชาติผาแต้ม เป็นอุทยานแห่งชาติที่ตั้งอยูทางตะวันออกสุดของประเทศไทย สามารถรับชมพระอาทิตย์ขึ้นได้เป็นจุดแรกของประเทศไทย ปัจจุบันอยู่ในพื้นที่ของจังหวัดอุบลราชธานี จุดที่น่าสนใจคือภาพเขียนสีก่อนประวัติศาสตร์ผาแต้ม ผาหมอน ผาลาย ประติมากรรมธรรมชาติเสาเฉลียง และจุดชมพระอาทิตย์แสงแรกแห่งสยาม

Phataem National Park is located in the far eastern part of Thailand and is known as the first place in the country to witness the sunrise. Currently situated in Ubon Ratchathani province, the park features intriguing sites such as the prehistoric rock paintings at Phataem, as well as Phahom and Phalai. Additionally, visitors can admire natural sculptures like the Chalerm Pillars and enjoy the first light of dawn known as the “Light of Siam.”

One of the highlights of Phataem National Park is the Chalerm Pillars within the area. These striking, large formations made of sandstone are famously shaped like mushrooms and are unique to the park. If you visit, be sure to capture some photos as a delightful keepsake of your experience!

Sam Phan Bok, also known as the Grand Canyon of Siam, is yet another gift from nature that has become a significant tourist destination. This remarkable site features a large rock formation beneath the Mekong River, which during the flood season, is submerged underwater. The powerful currents have eroded the rocks into more than 3,000 natural pools, locally referred to as "boak," which translates to "pools." 

This area serves as one of the largest breeding grounds for freshwater fish in the Mekong River, thanks to its balanced ecosystem. However, when the dry season arrives, Sam Phan Bok emerges from the water, revealing a breathtaking beauty that has been hidden for many months. The unique rock formations resemble small mountains amid the Mekong, showcasing nature's artistry through the intricate shapes of each pool. The sight is truly mesmerizing and leaves visitors in awe.

Another stunning waterfall located in the Khong Chiam district, this waterfall is exceptionally beautiful. It features water cascading from the Thalang creek into a rock basin below, resembling the glow of a full moon shining down. Additionally, when the water hits the surface below, it disperses into a remarkable heart-shaped pattern in white.

Located in Huay Phai subdistrict, within the area of Phataem National Park, there is a sandy stone terrace that has been eroded into deep grooves and pools of water, known as "Pha Sok" (where "Sok" refers to a long groove formed by water erosion). This spot offers breathtaking views of the Mekong River and the intricate mountains stretching into the distance. 

A significant highlight is the natural pool situated along the edge of the cliff at Pha Sok, which serves as a natural basin where visitors can relax and soak while taking in the stunning scenery. The ideal time to visit is during the rainy season.

อยู่ก่อนถึงผาแต้มประมาณ 1 กิโลเมตร เป็นเสาหินธรรมชาติที่เกิดจากการกัดเซาะของน้ำและลมนับล้านปี มีลักษณะคล้ายดอกเห็ดเรียงรายกันอยู่มากมาย ซึ่งหินดังกล่าวจะปรากฏเห็นซากเปลือกหอย กรวด ทราย อยู่ในเนื้อหิน ซึ่งนักธรณีวิทยาสันนิษฐานว่า เมื่อประมาณล้านกว่าปีมาแล้ว บริเวณนี้คงจะเป็นทะเลมาก่อน ชาวบ้านบริเวณนี้เรียกเสาหินที่คล้ายดอกเห็ดนี้ว่า "เสาเฉลียง" ซึ่งแผลงมาจากคำว่า "สะเลียง" ที่หมายถึง "เสาหิน" บริเวณนี้ยังมีเส้นทางเดินศึกษาธรรมชาติให้นักท่องเที่ยวเดินเที่ยวชมแต่ต้องมีเจ้าหน้าที่นำทาง


About 1 kilometer before reaching Pha Taem, there are natural stone pillars formed by the erosion of water and wind over millions of years. These pillars resemble a multitude of mushrooms standing side by side. Within the stone, you can find remnants of seashells, gravel, and sand, leading geologists to speculate that this area was once covered by the sea over a million years ago. The local people refer to these mushroom-like stone pillars as “Sao Chaliang,” a term derived from “salang,” which means “stone pillar.” This area also features a nature trail for tourists to explore, but it’s advised to have a guide accompany you on the journey.

在距离帕台姆（Phataem）大约1公里的地方，有一处自然形成的石柱，它是经过数百万年的水流和风的侵蚀而形成的。石柱的形状类似于成群的蘑菇。岩石中能够看到贝壳、沙子和小石子，这让地质学家推测，早在百万年前，这里可能曾是一片海洋。当地居民将这种像蘑菇的石柱称为“เสาเฉลียง”，这个词源自“สะเลียง”，意指“石柱”。这里还有一条自然教育步道，供游客漫步欣赏，但需在工作人员的带领下游览。

แก่งตะนะ เป็นแก่งกลางลำน้ำมูลที่ใหญ่ที่สุด กลางแก่งตะนะมีโขดหินมหึมาเป็นเกาะกลางลำน้ำมูลที่เกิดจากลำน้ำมูลทั้งสองสายที่เชี่ยวกรากและจะกัดเซาะลงในแนวหินสูงประมาณ 1 เมตร

ช่วงเวลาที่เหมาะแก่การเที่ยวชมคือระหว่างเดือนกันยายน-ธันวาคมของทุกปี แซห้วยหมาก อยู่ห่างจากที่ทำการอุทยานฯ 10 กิโลเมตร อยู่ในพื้นที่บ้านห้วยหมากใต้ ตำบลโขงเจียม แซห้วยหมากเกิดจากน้ำในลำห้วยหมากไหลซอกซอนผ่านพลาญหินเป็นชั้น ๆ กว้างประมาณ 50 เมตร ยาวประมาณ 150 เมตร ทอดต่ำลดหลั่นลงไปก่อนไหลลงสู่แม่น้ำโขง ช่วงเวลาที่เหมาะแก่การเที่ยวชมคือระหว่างเดือนกันยายน-ธันวาคมของทุกปี 

Tana Rapids is the largest rapids in the Mun River. At its center lies a massive rock formation, which acts as an island amid the tumultuous currents created by the converging streams of the Mun River, eroding a rock face standing approximately 1 meter high.

The best time to visit is between September and December each year. Sa Huai Mak is located 10 kilometers from the park headquarters, in the area of Ban Huai Mak Tai, Tambon Khong Chiam. Sa Huai Mak is formed by water flowing through layers of exposed stone in the Huai Mak stream, measuring about 50 meters wide and 150 meters long, cascading downward before it meets the Mekong River. The ideal time for a visit is also between September and December each year.

ตะนะ峡是湄公河上最大的峡谷，峡谷中有巨大的岩石，形成了湄公河的一个小岛。这些岩石是由于两条湍急的湄公河河流侵蚀高约1米的岩石而形成的。

It is a remarkably beautiful temple, a highlight of Ubon Ratchathani province. Almost every tourist visiting Ubon makes a point to stop by this temple. It is also a favored spot for photographers, especially for capturing the glowing trees at night. The temple features exquisite patterns and offers a pleasant atmosphere, with stunning views of the surrounding landscape. It's a perfect location for watching the sunset or enjoying the picturesque view of Laos across the Mekong River.

Phu Phraya Temple, or Sirindhorn Wararam Phu Phraya Temple, commonly known as the Glowing Temple, is located atop a high hill. It mimics the environment of the forest temple of Himmaphan or the sacred mountain, Krailas.

The sacred relic for those born in the Year of the Ox is located at Wat Phra That Lampang Luang in Lampang Province. This temple was initiated and completed in the Year of the Ox, making it a significant site. It is one of the most well-preserved wooden temples in Thailand, adorned with an array of exquisite ancient architecture. Wat Phra That Lampang Luang also houses the revered "Phra Kaew Don Tao" (Emerald Buddha), which is considered the sacred Buddha image of Lampang. This statue, depicted in a meditative posture, showcases the intricate Lanna art style.

Wat Phra That Hariphunchai is an important religious site in northern Thailand, a sacred landmark that has been associated with the city of Lamphun for over a thousand years. Located in the heart of Lamphun, it is just about 150 meters from the provincial hall and is surrounded by roads on all four sides: Atharas Road to the north, Chaimongkol Road to the south, and the city wall road to the east. Additionally, it is considered the birthplace of the auspicious year for those born in the year of the rooster.

The Phra Boromathat Hariphunchai houses sacred relics, including a lock of hair from the Buddha, which is enshrined in a golden casket located within the stupa. The stupa features a lotus base styled with a bulbous lotus petal, transitioning into three circular tiers that support the bell-shaped structure. The structure stands at a height of 25 "wa" (a traditional Thai measurement unit) and has a width of 12 "wa" and 1 "khu" (1 "khu" = 1 inch). It is adorned with a "satti-banchan" (iron and brass railing) consisting of two layers, with golden vessels placed at the outer railing on both the north and south sides.

The stupa is embellished with guardian angel niches and umbrellas at each of the four corners, along with a tower on each side, totaling four towers, each housing a seated Buddha statue. Additionally, there are lanterns and altars installed for the general public to pay their respects, making it a significant center for Buddhist worship.

位于泰国北部的希里普万寺是一个重要的宗教圣地，伴随着兰颂市走过了长达千年的历史。这座寺庙位于兰颂市中心，距离省政府大楼约150米，四周被街道环绕，北侧是阿塔拉路，南侧是胜利路，东侧是环城路。此外，它也是公鸡年出生者的守护神圣地。
