Brief History
สมุทรสาครเป็นจังหวัดชายทะเล ตั้งอยู่ปากแม่น้ำท่าจีน หลักฐานทางประวัติศาสตร์กล่าวไว้ว่า ในสมัยกรุงศรีอยุธยา สมุทรสาครเดิมเป็นชุมชนขนาดใหญ่ที่มีชาวจีนนำเรือสำเภาเข้ามาจอดเทียบท่าค้าขายแลกเปลี่ยนสินค้าและได้พักอาศัยอยู่เป็นจำนวนมากจึงเรียกว่า บ้านท่าจีน
