Wat Sri Don Kham

Huai O Subdistrict, Long District, Phrae.

Wat Si Don Kham, commonly known by locals as “Wat Huai O”, is an ancient and large stupa that houses the sacred relics of the Buddha. This site has undergone several restorations over the years; currently, it features a concrete base topped with beautifully adorned golden metal plates. Another point of interest is the "Museum of Phra Chao Pha Toe," which showcases a collection of ancient wooden Buddha images. If you have the chance to visit Phrae, be sure to stop by the Long District. I highly recommend paying your respects to Phra Chao Pha Toe and admiring the craftsmanship of the Lanna Buddhist ancestors. Also, take a moment to pray at "Phra That Si Don Kham" for good fortune and blessings.
