Wat Tham Pu Wa

Nong Ya Subdistrict, Mueang Kanchanaburi District.

The temple is nestled in the embrace of majestic mountains, creating a peaceful atmosphere ideal for meditation. Originally, the cave served as the main shrine, but it has since been beautifully renovated into an elaborate building, with a sandstone sanctuary enveloping the cave itself. Inside the cave, stunning stalactites and stalagmites can be found, created naturally over time. Additionally, a relic of the Buddha has been graciously invited from the Union of Myanmar and is enshrined here for visitors to pay their respects. This temple is perfect for those wishing to embark on a journey of spiritual practice and moral cultivation. The cave's natural formations provide an inspiring backdrop, and it also serves as an excellent location for training camps, featuring a large conference hall that can accommodate between 500 to 800 participants.
