Located in Village No. 4, in the Tambon of Chathip Phra, this temple was originally called “Wat Sathing Phra” and was built in the year 1542 B.E. A significant archaeological site within the temple is the Phra Maha That Chedi, believed to have been constructed around the year 1300 B.E., following Mahayana Buddhism. The architectural style reflects the Srivijaya period, featuring a bell-shaped stupa designed to enshrine a Buddha image, topped with a stupa and accompanied by four smaller chedis at each corner. During the late Srivijaya period, around 1700 B.E., Mahayana Buddhism flourished significantly in Sri Lanka, which led to a transformation in the design of the Phra Maha That Chedi, giving it an inverted bell shape, while the base took on the form of an ancient square. Additionally, the temple houses an ancient bell tower and the Vihara of the Reclining Buddha, where many well-preserved mural paintings depicting stories from the Buddha's life can be found. Every year, the temple organizes a ceremony to celebrate the Reclining Buddha and the Phra Maha That Chedi on the first night of the sixth lunar month.
