Visiting an ancient temple that boasts a long and storied history, rich with important historical sites, is truly a memorable experience. This temple was originally known by various names, including Wat Lantan and Wat Khao. However, during the reign of King Rama V, it was officially named Wat Chom Kiri Nakphrot, and this name has been used ever since. Located on the eastern banks of the Chao Phraya River, the temple grounds are divided into two parts. One section is perched atop a high hill, featuring the main hall (ubosot), sacred shrines, a chedi, and various other religious structures. The other part lies at the foot of the hill, housing the sermon hall and monk's quarters, where monks and novices can live and practice their spiritual teachings. This area also serves as a place for devout Buddhists to engage in merit-making activities.
