Wat Kwisrararam, which translates to "Temple of the Sovereign," is currently under the stewardship of Phra Thepsena Bodi (Prateung Apitharo), the abbot of Lopburi province. On October 9, 1976, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej made a royal visit to Wat Kwisrararam Rajvoravihara, which brought immense joy to the people of Lopburi. Originally named Wat Khwid, this temple was constructed by King Narai the Great. Later, King Chulalongkorn, also known as King Rama IV, reestablished it and bestowed upon it the name Wat Krawisararam. King Rama V further enhanced the temple, which was originally donated by King Narai as a sacred space for the ordination of royal officials into the monkhood. Today, Wat Kwisrararam remains a significant temple within the Mon sect in Lopburi.
