Wat Klang Ming Mueang

The phrase "ตำบลในเมือง อำเภอเมืองร้อยเอ็ด" translates to "Nai Mueang Subdistrict, Mueang Roi Et District."

Wat Klang Ming Muang, originally named Wat Klang, is located in the heart of Roi Et City on Charoen Phanich Road, in the Nai Muang district of Muang Roi Et Province. This ancient temple is believed to have been built before the establishment of Roi Et City, during the period when the area was under Khmer rule. It houses the revered Buddha statue known as "Phra Buddha Ming Muang Mongkol," which is the emblem of Roi Et Province, created during the Ayutthaya period in 2084. The Buddhist assembly hall was constructed at the beginning of the reign of King Rama III and is the largest and most unique example of the Lan Chang architectural style.

Province: Roi Et
