Experience the refreshing mist from a small waterfall that flows year-round, nestled in lush greenery that invigorates the senses. This waterfall, originating from the Bang Thad mountain range, known locally as "Khao Kaew," consists of more than ten cascading tiers. The walk from the lowest tier to the fifth is easily accessible for visitors, while those wishing to explore higher tiers will need to climb with a degree of caution. The pool at the base of the waterfall is a popular spot for tourists looking to cool off, and as the area is a national park, it features a spacious parking lot. Visitors are strictly prohibited from collecting or removing any natural items from the park, including flora, fauna, or even stones. The waterfall’s name, "Boriphat," has an interesting origin. It was once known as "Klong Lamrian Falls." Between 1926 and 1928, during an undisclosed year within this timeframe, Field Marshal His Royal Highness Prince Boriphat Sukhumpan, the Army Commander at the time, visited the waterfall while traveling from Songkhla to Satun and inscribed his name on the rock. Since then, the waterfall has been officially known as Boriphat Falls. Best Visiting Season: While Boriphat Falls has a steady flow of water throughout the year, it boasts the most spectacular water levels from October to December. If you visit between June and September, the fruit season in southern Thailand, you'll find an abundance of fresh, high-quality, and reasonably priced fruits along the way, such as rambutan, durian, mangosteen, and langsat. Sampling these delights will surely leave you craving more. Location: The waterfall is located in Moo 10, Khao Phra sub-district, Ratthaphum district, Songkhla province, about 52 kilometers from the city center, accessible via Highway 406 between kilometers 35 and 36.
