The Komol Textile Museum is a cultural learning center and a must-visit tourist attraction in Phrae Province. It is renowned for showcasing the way of life and community, as well as serving as a resource for understanding ancient textiles. The museum not only preserves traditional weaving processes but also transforms them into beautiful pieces of fabric. The origins of this museum trace back to Mr. Komol Panitpan, an antique textile collector from the Long District. He dedicated himself to amassing various types of ancient fabrics from "Muang Long" and nearby communities. In collaboration with the Phrae Provincial Non-Formal Education Center, he established a local technology center specializing in textiles in honor of Her Majesty the Queen, marking her 72nd birthday in 1992. This initiative ultimately led to the opening of the Komol Textile Museum, allowing the public to explore and learn about the rich heritage of ancient textiles.
