Klong Khian Pier

Klong Khian Pier

Phang Nga, Takua Tung

It is a local fishing pier, but you can also take a boat ride to explore the bay and the stunning Samet Nangchee area. Overall, the atmosphere is delightful, and every Saturday evening, they hold a walking street event. The Khlong Khian Pier is located in Khlong Khian Subdistrict, one of the seven subdistricts of Takua Thung District. The community has a history dating back approximately 150 years, with early settlers migrating from Pattani, Satun, and Narathiwat. In ancient times, the area was filled with teak trees, and a canal flowed through the hills down to the sea, which is how this community got its name. Khlong Khian Subdistrict serves as a bustling pier, facilitating movement in and out of Phang Nga Bay.
