BTS Saphan Taksin

Yan Nawa District, Sathorn

Saphan Taksin Station (S6) is an elevated BTS station on the Silom Line of the Chaloem Ratchamongkhon Project, marking a significant spot in Bangkok’s rail network. It runs alongside the Somdet Phra Chao Tak Sin Maharach Bridge, spanning the mouth of the Sathorn Canal, and stretches from the banks of the Chao Phraya River to the intersection of Charoen Krung Road. This station is notably the first in Bangkok to connect with water transportation on the Chao Phraya River, providing access to boat services at Sathorn Pier (Central Pier). Currently, there are three additional stations, including Sanam Chai and Bang Pho on the MRT’s Chaloem Ratchamongkhon Line, as well as the Charoen Nakhon station on the Gold Line. Moreover, Saphan Taksin Station houses a tourist information center, making it a vital hub for travelers exploring the city.
