Chaloklum Bay, or Old Chalok Bay, located on Koh Tao in Surat Thani Province, is the third largest beach on the island and lies in the southern part of Koh Tao. Additionally, from Chaloklum Bay, you can enjoy views of Koh Phangan, Koh Samui, and Ang Thong National Marine Park. Getting to Chaloklum Bay is convenient. From Mae Haad Pier, it takes less than 10 minutes by car or about 30-40 minutes on foot. If you prefer not to ride a motorcycle, taxi services are available, and some resorts provide shuttle services as well. Overall, Chaloklum Bay is a small community equipped with various amenities, including restaurants, trendy cafes, bars, diving schools, clinics, pharmacies, and convenience stores. Popular activities include snorkeling and scuba diving, as the waters here are rich with corals and a diverse array of marine life. There are also plenty of onshore activities to enjoy, such as kayaking, beach games, or exploring nearby beaches like Freedom Beach and Laem Thao.
