Bang Lang National Park is a captivating national park located in Yala Province, covering areas in Bannang Sata, Than To, and Betong districts. It spans an impressive 163,125 rai and was officially designated a national park on February 24, 1999. A part of the park also encompasses the Hala-Bala Wildlife Sanctuary. Significantly, this area was once a stronghold for the Malayan Communist Party (MCP) and the Barisan Revolusi Nasional (BRN) in the past. Although these groups have since dissolved, the previous reputation of the region has deterred many from venturing here. Consequently, nature has thrived, remaining largely untouched by human activity, leading to an incredibly rich biodiversity. One of the highlights of the park is the variety of plant species found within the Bang Lang Forest, predominantly featuring lush rainforests. This area serves as a crucial water source for major rivers such as the Pattani River, the Sai Buri River, as well as for various canals like Klong To Mo, Klong Hala, and Klong Ban Jed. It is also home to several rare wildlife species, including the Malayan Gaur, Asian Tapir, Rhinoceros Hornbill, Great Argus, and many others. Visitors can explore the Bang Lang Dam, a significant reservoir in the province, and enjoy the beauty of the Hala Sa waterfall, Rainbow Falls, as well as the expansive Than To Lake, which stretches over 2 kilometers. The park boasts the Than To Waterfall, which features an impressive nine tiers. Accommodation options at the park include bungalows and camping sites, with prices starting at 900 THB. **Getting There:** To reach Bang Lang National Park from Yala city, travel along Highway 410 (Yala-Betong Road) and take a right turn at kilometer marker 56, following the road to the waterfall approximately 150 meters until you arrive at the park headquarters. **Entrance Fees:** - Thai Nationals: Adults 20 THB, Children 10 THB - Foreign Visitors: Adults 100 THB, Children 50 THB
