The Historical Park of the Nine Armies is an initiative by the Royal Thai Army in collaboration with government agencies, the private sector, and the general public. It was established to honor His Majesty King Buddha Yodfa Chulalok and to celebrate the auspicious occasion of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej's 72nd birthday on December 5, 1999. The exterior of the building resembles the helm of an ancient warrior. At the entrance of the park stands a monument dedicated to Phra Boromrajcha Mahasurasak, a commander known for successfully defeating enemies despite being outnumbered. Inside, there are exhibitions that narrate the history of the Nine Armies battle, as well as statues representing "Grandfather Maan" and "Grandfather Khong," who were soldiers and volunteers fighting against the Burmese. The park features scaled-down display cases and sand tables depicting the mock terrain of the battlefield, illustrating the Thai army's defensive strategies and the routes taken by the opposing forces.
