The Heroes Monument and Bangrachan Camp Park were established as a memorial for the brave souls of Bangrachan village who demonstrated remarkable valor during a pivotal moment in Thai history under King Ekkathat. During this period, Myanmar launched an invasion into Thai territory, and a portion of their army attacked Bangrachan village. Despite facing a severe shortage of weapons and being outnumbered, the villagers of Bangrachan showcased immense courage and unity, sacrificing their lives for the nation, which led to their legacy being honored for generations. The Bangrachan Heroes Monument features a bronze sculpture of the eleven leaders of Bangrachan, including Nai Jan Muad Khiao, Nai Chot, Nai Dok, Nai Thong Kaew, Nai Thong Men, Nai Thong Saeng Yai, Nai Thae, Nai Mueang, Phan Rueang, Khun San, and Nai In. This monument, created by the Fine Arts Department, is situated amidst a lush garden, serving as a tribute to the gallant heroes of Bangrachan village who united their strength to resist Myanmar's forces, which attacked their village a staggering eight times over the course of more than five months before finally being overcome.
