Pak Meng Beach is one of Thailand's stunning shorelines, located in the Mai Fad sub-district of the Sikao district in Trang province. It is currently under the auspices of the Hat Chao Mai National Park, which is nearby. This beach is renowned and is a popular tourist destination in Trang, often considered one of the first places that come to mind when thinking about traveling in this province. Situated approximately 35 kilometers from Trang’s city center, Pak Meng Beach boasts a crescent shape along the Andaman Sea, part of the Indian Ocean. During low tide, the beach expands up to 500 meters wide, allowing vehicles to drive onto the sand due to its solid and sturdy surface. A notable landmark is the giant mountain that resembles a reclining man, known as "Khao Meng" or "Ko Meng," named after the local folktale of an elder fisherman named Moe Meng, who was about to marry his beautiful daughter, Mook, to the prince of Koh Lanta. The beach is especially breathtaking at sunset, flanked by a 5-kilometer stretch of sea pines. Further along towards Hat Chao Mai National Park, there are also two concrete piers that are popular fishing spots, adding to the allure of this picturesque location.
