Kudue Beach is a picturesque sandy beach along the Mun River, located in the Jareakham sub-district of Mueang District, Ubon Ratchathani Province, about 12 kilometers from the city center. The beach area is lined with numerous floating restaurants, making it a popular gathering place for locals and travelers looking to socialize. Not only is the food here fresh and delicious with a wide variety to choose from, but the surrounding scenery is also stunning, especially during the dry season when the water level of the Mun River drops, revealing a long stretch of orange sand. One of the must-try dishes at Kudue Beach is "dancing shrimp” (Goong Ten), a dish famed among tourists as a must-order; if you don't try it, it's said you haven't truly visited Kudue Beach. These fresh, lively shrimp jump around, inviting you to savor the exquisitely fresh taste mixed with bold seasonings. Another dish to sample is grilled fish, where large catfish are marinated with spices before being grilled to perfection. The aroma of the spices combined with the sweetness of the fish creates an unforgettable flavor experience. For a delightful twist, don’t miss the shrimp with glass noodles (Goong Ob Woon Sen). Juicy, large shrimp are nestled in tender glass noodles, infused with the fragrant aroma of galangal and lemongrass. It's perfect with steamed rice or as a savory side dish. Besides indulging in delicious food, Kudue Beach offers spots to cool off in the water, as well as the option to rent pedal boats for a leisurely ride along the Mun River, allowing you to take in the picturesque views along both banks.
