Tavee Rachanikorn, a National Artist in the field of Visual Arts and the founder of Tavee Rachanikorn Art Gallery in Nakhon Ratchasima, has always emphasized that contemporary art cannot thrive without a contemporary art gallery. It’s like performers in a traditional Khon dance who have no stage to perform on; how can the art survive? We teach art, and there must be a space for our students to display their work. This is why the Tavee Rachanikorn Art Gallery was established and continues to thrive to this day. Our focus isn’t on profit, but on creating a space that fosters learning. For the government to promote Nakhon Ratchasima as a city of art, action must begin now. Just like planting a large tree, it requires time and the opening of new opportunities.
