Sam Phan Bok, also known as the Grand Canyon of Siam, is yet another gift from nature that has become a significant tourist destination. This remarkable site features a large rock formation beneath the Mekong River, which during the flood season, is submerged underwater. The powerful currents have eroded the rocks into more than 3,000 natural pools, locally referred to as "boak," which translates to "pools." This area serves as one of the largest breeding grounds for freshwater fish in the Mekong River, thanks to its balanced ecosystem.
