Ao Ted is located within Mu Ko Tarutao National Park in Khanom Bay, boasting beautiful scenery. It is home to an extraordinary geological feature known as pancake rocks, which are over 265 million years old. This area is a habitat for pink dolphins, as Ao Ted is rich in marine resources, supported by five different types of seagrass covering more than 100 acres, providing a nursery for juvenile marine animals. Consequently, the dolphins in Khanom have an abundant food supply and remain here year-round, unlike dolphins in other regions. Additionally, Ao Ted Nui features Koh Nui, which is home to a freshwater spring in the sea—an unseen gem of Thailand. This site also houses a statue of Luang Pu Toh, a revered monk known for his blessings. Furthermore, the local community in Ao Ted maintains traditional lifestyles through various fishing practices, such as net fishing, catch-and-release shrimping with bare hands, clamming, and gathering seaweed. Moreover, there is a wooden pier in Ao Ted constructed through the cooperative efforts of the local community. Near the pier, there is a cave that enshrines Luang Pu Daeng Tisso. This place not only offers breathtaking views but also a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of the local people.
